Bibliography

Resources are the most important component of any inquiry. My thanks to the many scholars who make true inquiry possible.

    Dear Jericho,

Nice to read your thorough and well-designed website again and thank you for your reply to my September comment.

Regarding the Bibliography, I would just like to recommend 2 books by Joseph Wheless who was a leading lawyer in USA in early 20th century and brought his legal training in handling and analysing big amounts of data to bear upon his study of Christianity. Both books free to download from internet :

    1. Is it God’s Word ? – published 1926 – truly outstanding, painstakingly detailed and logically argued
demolition of the Bible in its own terms i.e. not even by
    comparison with science, for example

    2. Forgery in Christianity – published 1930 – listing & discussion of canonical and
    non-canonical scriptures

I find it amazing, as indeed you do too, to know how much has been known for so long and yet not a hint is breathed in Christian bookshops or in our dishonest churches. Even more depressing is the blinkeredness, defensive fear and closed-mindedness of many Christians who lack interest in evidence and different viewpoints.

Still, I would imagine that religion will atrophy in time and, again, I thank you for your sterling work which benefits us all. One of your comments struck a deep chord in me – how forgery and deceit can in no way honour God and is, indeed, blasphemy and, like you, makes me shudder.

Once again, Jericho, thanks and God bless.

  2. Hi Jericho,

I just noticed that some of your links are now broken, due to some copyright infringement claims on YouTube. In particular:

(I did not due an exhaustive check.)

Thanks again for your great source listing. Cheers. 🙂
